All these things happen in the final death throes of the VR, but it is still possible to have one that is just old and tired that regulates at too low a voltage. This bothers the D-Jetronic FI, but almost no one knows about that. He also suggested that I check the spark plug wires or the coil. Any > thoughts on that ?
