Justin, I spent the summer putting in my fiberglass floorpans from Innovations. On the plus side they were a good fit and are sturdy enough that I have no fear of putting my weight on them. On the minus side, they were a ton of work to put in because we wanted to use our original seats and the outer seat rail in part of the metal pan that came out. My husband worked around this by cutting out the rails, taking them to a metal shop to be cleaned up and welded to a 1/8th" piece of steel, and then bolting them back in place in the three original bolt places. Because of the thickness of the steel we had to get a strip of thick rubber which we put where the original gasket had been so that when we tightened the bolts it wouldn't crack the fiberglass. There is also a lot of fiddling around to remount the accelerator pedal and the little stop block since our parts had crumbled into bits. Also lots and lots of silicone, way more than they give you with the kit. Now that it is done we are happy with it but it was a big project. I would recommend Innovations though, because the guy (is it Tim?) was really helpful and always returned our calls as soon as he could. --Leah Wegener, '63 Squareback ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
