TYPE III CARS AND PARTS SALE
A friend is moving and needs to get rid of an accumulation of Type
III VW cars and parts. He doesn't expect to make a lot of money on
this stuff, but would like to see it stay in the hands of good
owners. I
don't have room for much of this stuff, so I'm afraid that the lion's
share of whatever is not sold will be scrapped. I really hate to see
this happen, so I want to help him sell as much of this as possible.
The prices will be no more than is necesary for me to justify the
effort to get out there, get the parts, pack the parts, and ship them
out. So it won't be free, but everything will be cheap. Of course
if you can come here and help yourself, the deal gets even better.
The following are available:
1966 VW Squareback, manual transmission, dual carbs, dk blue
This car has not run for several years, but it did when it was
parked, The body is in very good condition-needs a good paint
job. This car is in pretty good rust-free condition and
deserves
to be restored. It is the only car of the lot that anyone has
any money invested in.
1972 VW Squareback, automatic transmission, F.I., orange
Actually runs, but still requires a fair amount of work.
Body sound, very little rust, dent in center of
passenger door. This one MAY be spoken for,
1973 VW Squareback, manual transmission, F.I., yellow
This car was running when parked, but the body is quite rusty.
Consider this a parts car.
In addition he has almost anything you can think of in the way of
salvaged
Type III parts: doors, glass, seats, electrical, engines and parts,
lenses,
fuel injection, transmissions, brakes, wheels, mufflers. There is
even a
very good condition '73 pan and MT rear subframe. If he doesn't have
it,
I probably do. Lots of small parts from 66-73.
If you need them, I can rebuild brake calipers, wheel cylinders,
master cylinders (some new ones in stock, too), distributors,
speedometers, gas gauges, you name it.
The only thing we don't have are nice rust free front fenders.
These parts are all in south central Wisconsin. UPS works for
smaller
items; pickup would be best for the others, although if you want
something bad enough it can be shipped.
Be explicit about what you want.
Example: I need a right door for a '66.
I want a distributor for a '71 automatic.
I need an oil cooler for a '68 but the engine is from a
'71.
If you're not sure which part you need, just ask. It may be helpful
to include your chassis number (and engine number for engine parts.)
No reasonable offers will be refused.
Please be considerate of the T3 list and email your requests directly
to me.
