Oh boy, you don't look at the air-cooled newsgroup, huh?  This was a biiiiig
topic there and this is what I believe occurred, in very digested form:

  Bob received a lot of attacks about his sermons from those who were 
  not air-cooled educated, didn't understand or knew someone of lesser
  authority who contradicted what he wrote, and flamed him.  Of course,
  those who actually used his sermons (like myself) didn't compliment him
  on his work.  After a long time (remember, we're talking internet time)
  Bob said to hell with you all and removed them.  Also, another part of 
  the problem was that, from my understanding, the Type2 list wanted to 
  compile their messages (of which Bob was a part of) and, I believe,
  burn them into a CD.  Bob said
  no way as his material was copyrighted (not sure if the Type2 was going
  to burn his sermon material or not) and they, of course, needed his 
  permission (which they didn't ask for) and he didn't want someone
  making a profit from his material.

Like I said, this was a huge thread and got kinda mean and heated at times.
It
boiled down to the fact that all material we write is implied copyrighted
even
if we do not specifically state the material as such.  Also, the material we
contribute to the list is NOT property of the VWType3 list (think of it like
posting notes on a wall at school for all to see; the wall nor the school
own
the notes and the authors are responsible for their content).  If you want
to
contradict me then go do the research yourself before you do because one of
the
more knowledgeable dudes in the NG already did the research (hey Phil, you
probably know where to get this info right easily, right?).  I REALLY REALLY

don't want this list to get into a copyright debate and such.  Just everyone
promise that they can keep copies for their own personal use and that they
know
they can't take any of our material and use it for profit without first
getting
written permission from the source/author (just like getting info from a
book
you gotta ask the publisher).
