RE: [T3] Engine/backfire/Weber troubles

30 isn't heavy and is a recommended oil. Sheesh, everyone is sooo worried
about their oils and I feel that it's gotten out of hand. Use the weight
that is recommended in the owners manual. Brand names are generally better
oils. Follow the oil change intervals as per the owners manual and the
engine will last a long time. Wanna use pure synthetic?, great!, but only
use it in an engine that is new but has already been broken in. Wanna use
dino (not dyno) juice?, great!, use it. Got a performance engine?, use
what's recommended by the engine builder. Simple.

Okay, Mike, as to your question about the jets and such...can't help you, I
have Dellortos. But I have a Dell carb manual. You need a Weber carb
manual. I know Haynes makes such a manual because I saw one for sale at the
parts store I frequent (during my baffle launching week it was rather
frequent :) If you can't find a manual then lemme know and we can discuss
shipping one out to you. For those of you who are curious the place is
Discount Import Parts and their phone number is (503)626-7036 (that's
Portland, Oregon).
