Last night I returned to the paint shop to pick up my 73 fasty...manoman, does it look GOOD! I know some people have a problem with Maaco, but I've never had anything but good experiences with them. Well, I did all the prep work myself, and removed all trim and masked all the windows I didn't remove, so I guess I did a lot of the work myself. They sprayed polyurethane (L61B Sumatra Green) with a clear coat on top and now the fasty has more of a gloss than my New Beetle. I can't wait to install the new interior this weekend, and attach the lights/signals! Seeing the finished product is the icing on the cake for all those long days of sanding and dent repair. I just wanted to re-thank all of the listees that helped me make this project a success...RJ S. (for the car itself, letting me work at his place, and delivery...how's the Beretta?), RJ S. (for sending me the fenders -n- stuff...still haven't had the courage to try the Rebel Yell!), Keith P., Brian, Jim A., Greg M. (all for great advice and technical tips), and everyone else (also Sonny for sending me the rocker trim clips for free, and at a moment's notice...you're the man!)...your parts and advice helped me save another type III from a dismal future. Lets all drink a Friday morning toast to another fastback thats back on the road! :-) -Doug 69 auto FI square (for sale) 73 FI fasty (looking better than new) 98 NB douglas_brashear@mail.amsinc.com ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
