Yes, it is. But be prepared for higher prices! One would think that if they make it for the Type I & II they'd make it for the III. Who knows if there is a SEALING difference between the various models? If the seals are the same, just the diameter is different, I would assume an alternative would be to get a stock-style seal from another VW (Bug windshield?), cut it to the diameter needed, and glue/melt/fuse the ends together. Whaddya think?
