Re: [T3] fuel line replacement

Kevin:

A VW FLAPS is a VW Freindly Local Auto Part Supply, or similar.

Just make sure the fabric coated stuff is for FI use, if you have a
Fuel Injected system. The original stuff is black, and that's what
I got for a replacement, the brake line hose looks the same, only
it's blue. So be careful with what you get. Fortunately, I can
trust my local FLAPS to make sure I get the right stuff. I learned
early on it is wise to have a good relationship with your local
suppliers, seems like they work harder trying to find T3 stuff for
  you!

BTW, yesterday I filled up my fuel tank and I noticed that there
was a STRONG smell of gas fumes. I recently replaced the tank
overflow tube. I checked everywhere and I can't find any leaks.
After driving the car for about 30 miles, the odor is diminishing.

Why do I feel like my T3 is a rolling Molotov Cocktail?
