This is not a problem for you, usually, but I know someone who had this problem and loaned his car to a friend without mentioning it. The friend failed to notice and let the starter continue to run. 30 miles later, at highway speeds, the armature exploded. When I opened the starter to see if I could rebuild it, there was nothing left inside, other than the shaft, that was any larger than a grain of sand! I'm afraid I let Bosch eat that one.
