RE: [T3] The Hill (and one incredible engine!)


Yeah, a hot day isn't too fun for the engine and couple that with any hills
(or
Dallas traffic during "rush hour") and you've got a good formula for a
panting
hot engine.

65-70mph @ 37+mpg on an engine with more cc's?  I don't believe it.  Is the
fuel
injection after-market and running very lean?  Is the engine from a Subaru?
I'm
willing to bet the tires are not stock (smaller in diameter), thus throwing
off
the odometer and resulting mph/mpg statistics.  I'm definitely gonna need a
LOT
more information on this '71's engine/tranny.  I'm sure there will be a lot
of
engine builders, and probably the VW engineers themselves, who would like to
know how this wonderful creation came to be!

Don't worry, I'm very forgiving about mistakes (I've made some good ones!)
so if
the data is wrong I won't criticize. :)
