You can't increase the cc's of the engine and change only a couple of components. The cam may be different and the 1.7L cpu won't work for any other displacement except 1.7L. If you want 2.0L then you need everything for a 2.0L. You might as well trade the 1.7L in for a stock 2.0L (well, and maybe a little cash). I don't think the T4 engine is that much heavier. The only thing it may do, if it's heavier, is make your car's butt sag a little but a one notch adjustment to the torsion bars should correct that. I have no idea (at this time...) how to install such a unit into a T3 but it definitely has its advantages: more horsepower, full-flow oil filtration, alternator charging system, and more horsepower. If you are serious about using the T4 and are thinking about beefing it up then I suggest you check out the Porsche 914 sites and catalogs so you know what to expect (last check for a stock rebuilt engine, w/exchange, was around $3000 - $4000).
