Just an FYI for those who have or are considering a Gene Berg oil sump... I bought the Helicoil set for M6x1 since my 1.5qt. oil sump scraped the asphalt when my tire came off and the front stud bent at a 45-deg. angle. After tapping the stud back I saw that it was threaded in the 1.5 sump. So much for needing that Helicoil! I just backed off the retaining nut inside, unscrewed the bad stud and screwed in a [longer, 1 1/4"] stud with thread lock applied, of course. Boy howdy, gotta luv that Gene Berg quality! :) Toby Erkson air_cooled_nut@pobox.com <-- Please use this address for email '72 VW Squareback 1.6L bored and stroked to 2.0L, Berg five-speed '75 Porsche 914 1.8L, ORPCA member Portland, Oregon, http://www.pobox.com/~toby_erkson/ PS While we are doing an FYI, for some reason I glanced at the bottom of my Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil six-pack and it's from...WAXAHACHIE!
