The blocks occasionally go bad, but I find that the problem is most often the spring loaded brass moving contact that wears out. Sometimes I am able to find a good used one, and sometimes I can remove the old one and solder a bit of brass in there to repair it. I don't know if these parts are still avail from VW, but someday I will buy some brass sheet and make some. There are two versions of the white blocks, but it would be simple to modify an early car so a late block could be used. This has the advantage of allowing the car to start in BOTH P & N! 8-0 Jim - ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ------------------------------------------------------------------- Too much?
