[T3] The trip is done.

Hey Volks,
Well, I made it back home yesterday and today I'm going to try to catch up
on
some of my email. The trip was 5175 miles total. My baby held together but
when I got home she developed a squealing/squalling sound that I *think* is
coming from the right front wheel bearing. I'll lube the wheels tomorrow.
The
5-speed tranny was a champ as was the engine and alternator; even the oil
pre-cooler (new name for the secondary cooler) proved to be essential.

Travis and I were amazed at the number of cars that would slow down to check
out
the car before passing us -- my personal favorite was a '97 Porsche 911 at
dusk
that appeared out of nowhere, *really* slowed down to check my baby out,
smiled,
and promptly vanished into the horizon :) Hmmm, though they could've been
checking out that 5' Texas Longhorn skull in the back...

Well, I've got a lot to do so I'll try to get up to speed with y'all. My
thanks
to Brian F., Phil D., Big Al, Jake K., Luis P., and Tom C. for making my
trip
enjoyable and hopefully to anyone new out there who I met at the show who
are
now on the list.

Next year let's have the show in the cooler, hillier and greener Northwest
;)
