Shocks won't do anything for ride height(unless they're the air boost type). You have to adjust ride height by adjusting the torsion bars. Procedure is in the Bentley manual, it's well laid out there. Really too lengthy to put on the list. If it's not been done before, you'll have a time of it. It took me 3 days the first time I did it, rusty bolts, Basically you have to disassemble the rear suspension on each side, make the adjustments and then put it back together and see if it's right. If not, you get to do it again. This is a common problem, the bars do take a set, but it can be adjusted out. I don't know of anyone who's actually had a torsion bar snap under normal use due to it taking a set and being adjusted back to normal ride height. This is a cheap fix, all it takes is time(and the tools, of course).
