Technically yes,,,,, BUT Think about where the cooling air will come from ????? It would be dangerous to just throw the engine in and drive around. Also it would not take that much work to switch over the cooling tin. or better yet trade/swap parts for a type 3 friendly case ( AKA oil filler/dipstick tube) James i know everyone is going to give me a lot of trouble over this but this is one of the only options i have at the moment but here goes will a type 1 engine fit in a square will type one fanshroud fit up through the engine compartment hole or would you have to hack it all up to get it to fit i will appriciate any thoughts on this even if you do have to call me a #$$$*&%%@!
