hi Carl, Well, if the truth be known, my wife is the one that pointed out the Fastback we have now. It was for sale, but after years of marriage I know better than to ask if I can buy something like another Fastback, especially since I'm restoring a Bug currently. I had a FB when we were married. I loved that car but had to sell it when Calif smog laws were changed. It had a T4 2.0 engine in it and no way was it going to pass at renewal time and I couldn't bring myself to pub a FI T3 engine back into it. Well needless to say I still like Fastbacks the best of all VW's so when she asked if I'd buy it for her, I first asked if she was kidding then I bought it!! for her!! (yeah, right!! ;^) ) I think she's driven it twice since last Sept. (he,he,he!) But she loves it. It has all the colors she likes on it, red with yellow/orange/blue flames. She loves flamed cars, wants me to flame my Bug too! Anyway, yes, there are women out there that do like T3's too, you just have to keep looking!! Regards, Tom Cloud '69 Fastback!
