[T3] Original Miles

This is one of my pet peeves... the expression "original miles."

Could I say, for example, that my '70 bus has 20,000 original
miles, plus those 280,400 unoriginal miles since then? When do you stop

counting original miles, and begin counting unoriginal miles? It's just

silly, in my opinion... :)

My car has a metallic sticker on the door post indicating that the
speedometer was replaced at 4700 miles. You can bet that the dealer
will include those miles when the original miles are needed for warranty
verification. After the warranty runs out, no body cares unless you are
trying to sell, at which time you must certify mileage (at least in
California, you do.)
