RE: [T3] The Oil filter idea, continued...


I've seen quite a few T1 and T3 full flow systems and all the ones I've seen
have the mouth of the filter pointing up.  The only way oil is going to
drain out of these is if they have a screwdriver slammed though 'em :)  Yes,
you don't want the oil draining from the filter.  When I change my filter I
fill it with almost a full quart of oil before attaching it.  I also need to
fill the pump-to-filter oil line with oil to help prime the pump if the oil
should drain from this line (no big deal, really).

Besides, if you mounted the filter mouth down can you imagine the mess when
you need to change the filter and all the oil comes draining out?
