I've pulled a couple of T-1 bodies off before. In the type III, I'm pretty certain you'll have to remove (or at least support) the engine - Early engines mount to the body at a single point in the rear, late models have 2 body mounting points on the crossbar. As far as lifting it off goes, my friend Dave and I lifted the bodies off by ourselves. We set the body on a couple of milk crates, one fore and one aft. I've always thought (but not yet tried) that a set of 'low-rider' saw horses might be the ticket for setting the body on. Of course that was nearly 10 years ago, and it definitely qualifies as a "two-grunt" lift... The more human bodies you have to do the lift, the easier it gets, to a point. I wouldn't recommend more than 25 people for lifting the body off, there's only so much room for hands, you know! Also, remember, 'lift with the legs, not with the back' - unless you plan on spending the next two weeks working on a creeper under the car, it's not worth injuring yourself over.
