Curious that one. I did a comparison of production rates for chassis and engines from the Production Survey in the Parts book. >From Aug '63 to Dec '64, there were about 1500 engines a day and 900 chassis a day (rising to a peak of 1700/1100). Apart from the industrial engines, where else would these have gone without a Type 3 chassis? Brazil for their Type 3 range? 600 spare engines a day for well over 17 months is a lot of engines. Dave.
