My point isnt one of judgement - its of TACTILITY. Personal experience: on Average, and this means I'm ruling out your GTOs and many American cars which I find Kick-ass, driving an American car is like being in a pod. At its worst (here specifically Im thinking of the Ford Taurus) its literally like driving a boat. Maybe the tactile grab is significantly different because the driving experience is completely different. The European economy cars I've driven in Europe are far more responsive than any American economy car I've driven, and they make me far less inclined to fall asleep at the wheel. I have design problems up to my eyes with alot of the recent US stuff I've rented over the past few years. As for performance cars, hell if I know. But its the little bits of handheld brilliance and the perhaps lack of suspension in European cars I'm talking about most of all. But only in America do you get something like the development of cruise control and the cup-holder. (And if cruise control wasnt made in America I'll take it all back and eat my broken odometer.) So its an internal and somewhat cultural attitude born of different needs. Thats all. As for general stability and rollover, When I said youre on the road, I wasnt implying you'd stay there for a long time. ;] Mike ------------------------------------------------------------------- Too much?
