just been replacing my spark plugs. well, 3 out of 4 anyway. this is the second time i have replaced them since i got the car. it appears that one spark plug is larger than the other three (#4). i did not notice this problem(?) the first time i changed plugs. checked my maintenance record and no note of one oversized cylinder. the larger plug is identical to the others except that the threaded part is of a larger diameter. now the correct sized plug just wallows around in the hole. am i so silly i could have forced in a plug that was too big? i don't think i could have. how bizarre. so, since this larger size seems to fit just dandy, assuming the plug is the same as the other three in everything but threaded diameter, is this a problem? the plugs i fitted previously were all Bosch (platinum) W8AP (all had a # like 862 also stamped on them); the plugs i'm fitting now are the W8AC (copper). thanks sonny ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
