Here is just an idea of what shipping costs are for something large. I am shipping Squareback doors from Washington, D.C., to Atlanta, GA. They are individually boxed and weight is approximately 85-90 lbs per box. Dimensions of each box: Height = 43 inches; Length = 42 inches; Width = 14 inches; UPS - too big, won't ship US Mail - too big, won't ship Airborne Express - $189.55 (3 to 5 days) Roadway Package Systems (RPS) - too big, won't ship Mail Boxes, Etc.. - $220 per box (local) Parcel Plus - $150 per box (local) PakMail Plus - $95 per box (local; included pick-up) Greyhound - $93.75 for both Amtrack - $25 per box (obviously my choice) So if you intend to ship something big, here are the rates you will probably find. AmTrack will be my choice. Leland ------------------------------------------------------------------- Too much? Digest! mailto:type3-d-request@vwtype3.org Subj=subscribe
