I've been told that to switch over to the Silicone/DoT 5 stuff, you *have* to replace all hoses and seals, and it's highly recommended to replace all metal (tubing/cylenders) if at all possible. Something to do with the silicone leaking/causing breakdown in the brake components after they've been exposed to the other solutions.
