This kit will not repair the bushings. I saw a bushing repair kit in the
latest bugpack catalog for $60.00. It had a drill bit, a special tool to
drive the new bushings in, and the bushings. You will have to
dissasemble the carbs, Remove the butterfly and shaft and drill out the
old bushings. You then reinsert the new oversize bushings and put the
carb back together. I have never tried replacing the bushings like this.
My rule of thumb is to grab the butterfly shaft at the linkage where it
goes through the bushings and try to move it up and down in the bushing.
If it moves it is bad and can leak gas down onto your hot heads.
