I just rebuilt mine form old NOS kits.  the only thing I wish I had that
they didnt was a new inlet valve.

Check your Chokes, both of mine were incorrectly assembled and the
Chiltons book had some better pictures than the Haynes but both were a help.

BTW... If you want to use 6V chokes and idle valves on a 12V
you need a 4 ohm 15W series resistor for the chokes and a 33ohm 2 W resistor
for the cutoffs.
