One thing about to add about the base coat/clear coat option. While these are the system of choice for modern cars with the heavy emphasis on metallics and the like, I personally would not and won't use one on my Fastback when I paint it because chip and scratch repair is more difficult. You almost have to repaint the whole panel again to get it right. Probably why it was $400 dollars to repair and repaint the parking lot rash on my 97 Mercury Mystique fender. Just my 3 cents worth.
