Re: slick 50 and oil additives - LONG


OK, what about the old Formula Vee favorite Molybdenum Disulfide (MoS2)?  I
had a mechanic once tell me that he would run it in his formula vee so he
wouldn't need an oil cooler.  He said that the stuff was so slippery that
it would lower oil temps to healthy levels without the cooler.  His
reasoning for not running the cooler was weight and HP increase.  I still
see the stuff ocassionally, but haven't used it in years as I never noticed
any benefit or detriment.  Any thoughts or hard facts?  Let me know.
