Hey all, Last night, after driving home seeing the oil pressure pulsing very faintly at stop lights (69 automatic, FI squareback) I decided to change back to petroleum-based 10W-30 (rather than the SynTech I had been running). This morning I did not see the oil pressure light again...however, I also did one other thing last night. Would oil pressure be escaping if I didn't have a tight connection on the dip stick? When I replaced the rubber boot that connects the oil dip stick tube on the body to that on the engine, I didn't have the correct hose clamp to make a tight connection (on the body side). Could that have been the cause of my low oil pressure condition? Just wondering, -Doug 74 superbeetle (###for sale###) 69 auto FI squareback 73 FI fastback (??) douglas_brashear@mail.amsinc.com
