I could turn one wheel about 3 inches before the other one started to turn. The KYBs are a monotube design gas pressure shock. They are quite a bit stiffer than the stock ones or even the standard KYBs. I like the way they handle so I don't mind the mildly rough (choppy) ride. Its not near as bad as a mini truck that has been slammed, but definately harsher than stock. I've used KYB shocks for years on VWs, street and off-road, and on several other cars and trucks, and they are probably the best value in a shock unless your looking for something specific like a drag or highly lifted 4x4.
