Please clarify what a California top is. If you want to keep the vehicle as stock then you don't want to change anything, really. If you do add items then stick to period items (example: USA models were FI from '68 on so don't put a carbed engine in it, even if the carbs are Solex). As a rule of thumb, any modification made to a vehicle, generally no matter how slight, will reduce its stock value.
