I noticed on pg. 12 that Karmann Ghia Parts & Resto is selling reporduction fuse boxes that will fit 67-71' type 3's. They are advertised as exact duplicates of the originals. I wonder how good they are, the one I have is VERY corroded! Also, finally did a under car inspection of my Square. Looks like the Auto Trans pressure sensor is shot. (This is that little vacuum thingy hangin' off the rear of the trans). Pulled the vacuum line off and out came about 4 oz. of trans fluid! But the fluid came out of the vacuum line! Anybody know where one of these can be obtained? Also it looks like the right tie rod at the junction in the center of the car is loose. What is this junction called? Should I replace both sides at the same time? It looks like it the is right side tie rod middle. The left side appears to still be tight. Advice? Also looked through all the paperwork that came with the car. It appears that I am the fourth owner. I was able to locate all the previous owners! So, last Sunday I talked to them all. I wondered what kind of "reception" I would get from all of the P.O's. Well, they were almost as excited to talk to me as I was to talk to them! They all said that they were glad the car fell into hands that will appreciate and take care of it. The second owner said he wishes he hadn't sold it! All the stories and experiences this car has had! One thing I found, nobody has ever replaced the shocks! It still has the original 1970 OEM ones on it! Anyway, most of them want me to send pictures when the project is complete! Wasn't that nice of them? Til Later> Allen Moore concept@compassnet.com 70' Squareback
