I have a 68 fastback. I want to put either a 1904 or a 1776cc motor in it. In the 1776 motor i want to have a counterweighted crank(69mm), some type of rod better than stock, 90.5mm pistons/cylinders, new case, nice cam, and CB performance 044 heads. In the 1904 motor, i want to have a CW crank(74mm), some type of stroker rod that is good, 90.5mm pistons, new case, cam, and STOCK heads that are new. The reason i want to use 044 heads on the 1776 is because the price is much cheaper than if they were on the 1904. Basically if i want to get the 74mm crank, i must substitute the cheaper heads. If i want the more expensive heads i must get the less expensive crank (69mm) . I want a motor that has around 100- 120hp. Doesnt overheat, and can be used as a daily driver. I guess i want it fast yet reliable. Question: which of those motors would be the best one to get? Should i just wait to save money and put the 044 heads on the 1904? Would the 1904 not be able to "breath" enough with the stock heads? thanks for reading this and giving your advice, Chris 68 fastback "the Roach"
