Hello all! On the way to lunch today I noticed a strong gas odor in the car (69 squareback)...after examining the engine it looks like the right (FIF) set of fuel injectors are leaking (it doesn't seem to be the hoses that are leaking where they connect to the injectors, but the injectors themselves). Anyone ever hear of this problem? I'm not sure about the gaskets that may be at work there...I see that the injectors are held in place by that ovalish metal plate (w/ a hole in it for each injector) and attached with two 10mm nuts. Could it be a hole in the plastic part of the injector (is this a common problem)? I can't see the problem happening, but it shows as gas along the surface of the right side engine tin, with tiny puddles under each injector. I tried the 10mm nuts and they're both on tight. I'm a little nervous about driving the car at all now...if I can make it back to my house after work today (15 minutes, highway speeds) I can grab my super and drive that tonight. I know I'd be taking a big risk, though. Advice? -Doug 74 super 69 squareback douglas_brashear@mail.amsinc.com
