I'd say leave off component checks until you've had time to look very
closely for a bad ground in your FI system. A loose screw or connector,
dirty contact, etc., is your likeliest culprit.
I had a couple of almost stripped-out sheet metal screws in my FI Bus
that left me stranded by the road not too long ago. The early symptoms
were *exactly* as you describe. I determined (only in hindsight, of
course) that the bucking happened more often during acceleration
because the part that needed grounding was being pushed away from its
ground -- the ground would open, the engine would stop, we'd stop
accelerating, the ground would close again, and the engine would restart.
