Well, due to underwhelming demand, I will tell a story a day. Those of you with
better things to do...like trimming your nose hair...can skip these yarns.

We (my wife and I) had pitched our tent and made camp on a beach down near
Puerta Villarta. After a couple of days of eating fresh shrimp fried in
tempura batter and lazing around on the beach, we decided it was time to mosey on.
An elderly man watched us as we packed up the Fastback...things on the luggage
rack on top, things in the front luggage compartment, and things in the rear
luggage compartment. As we were finishing, he came up to us and asked, don't you
have an engine in that car? No, we told him, we were hand-pushing the vehicle
through Mexico. That seemed to satisfy his curiosity...hey, you know how loco these
gringo turistas are, anyway!

Tomorrow...the thrilling story of our spending the night in a coconut tree field...and guess
what fell and thumped all around us during the night?

I can't wait to get back to Mexico this summer. We will be going in Hitler's Revenge (my
Type II camper van) because I am too old and grouchy to sleep in a tent any more. Although,
if my wife can't go with me because of her work schedule, I might take my squareback and
sleep in it.

I haven't been to Mexico in a while, and my huaraches with the white wall Michelin tread
soles have worn out. Time to buy some new tread. Any suggestions from the tire experts
on the list? I think General Popo might be nice this time around...

Volks...start thinking about the Type III Caravan tour of Mexico. What a concept...dozens
of us tearing down the road in squares and fasts and notches...

Ah, poor Mexico...el mundo esta lleno de turistas...

My 'pologies if anyone out there thinks (quite properly) that my incoherent ramblings about my
Mexican trips don't quite fit the Type III mission. Heck, just delete 'em without reading...
that's what I would do!

Best...
