You have to clean out the teeth in the sheft so that it can grab the wiper
arm. Just remove the wiper arm and use your finger nail to remove the
aluminum that has cloged the grooves of the shaft. Then put the anm back on
and tighten the bolt. Never adjust the resting position of the wipers with
the bolt tightened. Hope this helps
