David,

I would highly recommend doing the restoration yourself.
get another car to drive daily and start tearing into your pride and joy.
unless youre restoring an ultra rare coachbuilt, or have a lot of money (read A
WHOLE LOT) to put into it.
I have learned to weld replacement body panels through trial and error.  I can
actually do a reasonably good job now.
There is no better way to fall in love with your car then to have it scattered
all over your garage for a year or two.  Not to mention the swollen chest when
you drive it around (I did it myself! feeling).  Dont worry the wife will adjust
to stepping over all the parts to get to the washing machine!!
