desert driving

OK here is a quick break down

1 Water and lots of it you should drink at least a gallon a day. That means
you drink even if you are not thirsty
2 You can roll down your windows the air flow actually will help, it is
kinda like a evaporative cooler. Your sweat with the moving air will help to
cool you down
3 Wet your self down. To spritz is ok but I will jump in a shower fully
dressed if I have to drive any distance with out ac which is allot
4 Where clothing cover your skin.
5 Try to drive at night or in the morning or night. Avoid the hours of 11
am to 5 PM it is the hottest part of the day.
6 If you break down look for shade close to your car and stay put. It help
to look like you need help so pop your hood. If you don't have one buy a
cardboard window block. on the back it will say need help. Put this sing
where it can be seen.

I have been in the Las Vegas area for close to 12 years it gets easier as
you adjust to it. I totally hate the cold and whine constantly in the winter
on the days we don't break 40
