As you describe it, the lever is there, but just doesn't give you a fulcrum against which to pull so you can actually put enough force on the cable to open the latch. Solution: get an appropriate bolt to anchor the base of the lever and then use it as it was designed to be used. one more thing how is the lower lap belt and should belt > supposed to go together or do they? I looked at the owners manual but it > didn't help me at all What year? They are different.
