To be honest, this was +10 years ago when there was no such thing as Type III websites, I did all the communication by phone and snail mail. I don't have any receipts left from VDO, but if memory serves me, it was in the neighborhood of $150. I do remember my wife being *very* impressed with the price, seeing that I had another speedo in the garage that was perfectly good. The speedo from the Notch is a small numeral, black faced, 20-160 KPH, white needled, with silver bezel trim and trip odometer, so I felt the price (being the only game in town) was justified. Today, I'm sure that with a little Internet time, I could beat that prrice easily. > > This indicates a speedo cable that is sticking. Thanks again, Jim. The '73 is officially off the road, un-registered as of last week. With a little cleaning up, the garage will have enough room to fit her, then it's time for the Final Restoration (cue dramatic music, fade to black...) David Walters '73 1600 L Notchback S. FL, USA
