List, An oddity: during my first few drives on my newly road worthy 73 sq, the odometer worked like a champ, but the speedo did not do a thing. I figured that it was definately an internal problem in the speedo. Then the weirdness happened. During a longish drive (5miles or so...baby steps) and at a higher speed, the speedo did respond by slowly indicating speed. By slowly, I mean that from the stop light and through 2nd gear or so, there was no response from the speedo, but as speeds climbed to 30 mph and above, the needle started to climb slowly to register about 35 max (this was when I was travelling 50 mph plus). It would also fall back to 0 mph only after sitting still for a minute or so. Is there a simple lubricating point in the speedo? Or does the thing need to be disassembled, cleaned, and relubricated? I do wish that I had paid more attention to the speedo thread from a few months back, and I apologize for rehashing this discussion. Thanks, Bryan
