Sorry, I have not done this, but I believe the changeover can be done 
if you also upgrade a couple of the air elbows/ducts at the same 
time.

I believe Keith Park mentioned that he had some early mufflers.  He 
is on the list, but currently on vacation.  Leave him a note and I'm 
sure he'll get back to you when he can.

I agree that welding/brazing a heat riser pipe to a more modern 
muffler is a very reasonable thing to do.
