Got back from the VW Classic yesterday, pretty good Type 3 turnout, didn't really notice any early Squarebacks, though. ;( In particular, I remember a '65 1500 N Notch. 19K miles, wow, it was in amazing condition, as you would expect. Interesting, too, I'd never seen an 'N' model from that year. I couldn't believe how much stuff was different, you really got the shaft if you bought an 'N' instead of an 'S'. :) Short arm rests, single-tone door panels instead of 2-tone, basically no chrome anywhere, etc., etc.. Of course, the 'N' model is probably worth big $ with everyone having the 'S's... Great turnout of Type 34s, took many photos. Talked to David Orozco in the swap meet area, he had the cool stash of NOS Type 3 stuff. He let me take pictures of a set of NOS, in the box, with instructions, set of bumper overriders. Also got photos of a line up of T3 tachs - red needle, grey needle, and Type 3 Ghia. Saw a few early T3 dashes in the swap area as well as flat taillight lenses and NOS rock guards everywhere.
