exhaust paint

I was wondering if any one has had any luck in painting there heater boxes,
and cooling tins. I figure while I got nothing but time on my hands I might
as well clean them.

also I noticed on a bug in a past Hot Vws that they wrapped there exhaust in
some type of header wrap, which supposedly was to keep the exhaust from
dumping heat inside of the engine compartment. I was wondering if any one
has tried it.
