That's actually 1 wire that only goes as far as the front of the 
engine compartment.

This is 2 wires that also have connectors in the engine compartment.

You will need to remove the two small screws that hold the "handle" 
to the brain connector in order to make that connector small enough 
to pull back through the hole in the body.  Be careful when you do 
this, because the wires can then all fall out of the connector.  As 
long as you know this in advance it is easy to do without getting 
wires out of place.
