Well, after you get the regulator turned around as per the other posters, you can get a pressure gauge rather cheaply. Here's how. Go to your local hardware store, look for boiler gauges. Should be some in the neighborhood of 40-50 lbs. top pressure. Get a hose barb fitting to fit, teflon pipe tape and some small hose clamps. This should run in the vicinity of $10-12. Use some of your old hose pieces for a short length on the hose barb. If you wish, you could calibrate it with your air gauge. The test fitting is on the left side, small 7mm head hex head machine screw is the plug. Attach gauge and adjust to spec. This is what I used when I first got my SB, didn't have a store in town that had a dedicated fuel pressure gauge for FI. After you're done, carefully wrap and put away in padded box for next time. It's also handy for checking for a bad pump check valve and leaky regulator and injectors. Make sure you get that screw sealed, there's a washer under it and be careful when tightening, you could snap it easily. I have used Permatex on some that didn't seem to want to quit dripping. Obviously do this in open air, you're going to have gas squirting when you make and break the connections. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
