Out of curiosity, are you putting non-pop out seals around the pop out glass, effectively turning the once pop out windows into normal, non-pop out windows like the rear-most glass found on the sides of the cargo area? (Twang! -- I think I just confused myself as well :) If so, maybe the glass is a different dimension (same world... ;) and it just plain won't fit. I've found that water with a little bit of soap and a friend pushing on the other side helps. I like to use my Dad because when he sees how easy this stuff is he gets the itch to customize his pickup truck (thanks to me he has a custom canopy, a car alarm, new rims and tires). Now if I could just get him back into a VW like the 'good ole days'...
