Mufflers and Heat

  Here in Missouri in the winter, it occasionally gets cold enough to need
some heat.  And I am looking at the prospect of needing a muffler for
inspection ( I can kiss a little butt and get it through this year but....)
 I was wondering if I can use my stock heat exchangers ( not that there are
any aftermarket exchangers, darn it!) with the  single/dual QP's?
